Few years ago I was looking for a radiator for my Tahoe and I saw a couple idiots punching holes in radiators with their screw drivers. I asked what was the point and it screws over people looking for that part. They just walked away, that being said I always try my best to remove a part...
Welcome from Sherwood park Alberta, I did a Belltech 2/4 drop but also clamped my leaf springs (which dropped the back a couple more inches) to combat some axle wrap issues until I get a new set.
Thought I’d post a “when I got it vs where it’s at” photo(s).
first photo is July 2020 when I picked it up. Loooong list of additions, issues corrected and things replaced or modified.
As you might be able to tell I’m not a big “factory rebuild” guy.
That makes sense, the one I got from the wreckers was missing the screw cap so when I adjusted my min idle after resetting my iac (tracking down the vacuum leak) it wouldn’t start with the (iac) port plugged.
Shouldn’t affect driving power as it just lets air in while the throttle plate is closed(unless it’s not seated properly on the throttle body), I would guess that relates to the fuel system or a faulty sensor/injector under load, did you replace the fuel filter?
I can’t remember off the top of...
Grab the side of the throttle plate (where the cables connect) and try moving it back and forth, if it moves that’s an issue, happened to mine.
Also you can plug the IAC port on the back left side of the throttle body to check for vacuum leaks, truck shouldn’t run or start if there’s no vacuum...
Vacuum leak may be the cause of the high idle, (when things rattle around from driving it may be shaking something loose) I tracked down one I had recently and it turned out to be the oil catch can I had put on a couple years ago (my idle was sitting around 1400).
Good way to check if you have...
Update… plumbing new lines and getting other **** prepped to update and fix. The Never Ending Story was a movie when we were kids, now it’s owning one of these ha ha.
Connect the drl to an ignition source. Then they will turn on with the ignition and the headlight bulbs will only turn on when you turn them on. To add to the signal circuit you would most likely need to wire in a relay and splice into the signal wire but that may be more complicated than it’s...
