1997 k1500 vs. 1999 k2500

So I have lifted 97, 88, and 96 k1500s. All are on blocks and keys. I was wondering what the difference is without having to get under them between all my 1500s and my 2500. I went to buy a lift and all the ones bought for the 1500s say they won’t work. Is it a difference in keys? Or u bolt...

96 vs 98 4l60e

I have a 98 k1500 with a bad transmission. My question is will a 96 4l60e be plug and play with the exception of the transmission lines? If not, what else would be different?
