Sounds like it fell into 4wd to me. Lights nor working on the switch is usually in the switch itself. Make sure you have right switch. AWD switch and 4wd switches are not interchangeable. Fuse blowing if not caused by incorrect switch would be bad actuator at transfer case or front diff. I'm...
Seems to me you have a lot of clearance between the fender and top of tire. I suspect someone cranked the T bars up. Look at how far you are from the stops at the upper control arms. May be hitting the stops.
Refrigerator coil cleaner is a great way to clean the evaporator without pulling the box out. My k1500 wasn't pushing any air and I found it matted with dog hair.
The earlier model V-8 drivers side manifolds had a single wire O2 sensor on the drivers side. When they moved the O2 sensor the put a 3 wire heated O2 sensor on the y-pipe in front of the cat. in 1996 the vortec engines used dual cats with four 4-wire monitored o2 sensors. Word of caution, if...
That circuit goes to the transfer case too. I also remember a loose spade connector in the far back corner of the engine compartment by the brake booster that isn't connected to anything. Make sure that isn't touching metal
That happened on my 97 k1500 after unplugging every sensor short was still there. I opened up the fuse bow and once it was open the short was gone. One wire had a rub so I drove it home put liquid electrical tape on it and called it done. 4 months later I was driving it with the front fenders...
I paid 2k to have the seats redone. Plus sized the wheels to 18" replaced the headlights but buffed the originals and reinstalled them when I realized the adjusters didn't line up with the access holes on the rad support
Here are a couple pics of my rare bird first is when I picked her up and the dirty one is in the parking lot at work. I was starting to feel guilty about not sending any pics in
It sounds like a u-joint to me. I'll assume you cruise in AWD. If you feel so inclined, pull the shaft and rock both joints all the way back and forth in both directions if you feel any resistance replace both joints. In the meantime put it in 2WD, the shaft should not spin while driving.
If it is a security system issue, I found 2 trucks that had lost power going to the Power Steering/security fuse I jumped power to the fuse and it worked. I have no idea why there is a fuse for the power steering, but got 2 trucks started like that.
