LM7 and 4l60E have arrived . Build thread will follow.

I have some questions: What radiator hoses did you use? Fuel pump? Fuel lines? Did you cut/reweld the DBW pedal? I have an 89 TBI truck that I am working on.

    Door Issues 96 c2500

Id get a donor door and a striker from the yard. Take a zip wheel and cut the striker out of the jamb, say 3" square and weld it in. Fitzee's Fabrications on YT has a great video about welding in a gas door to a bedside that would apply here.

    F!&king door handles

The only trouble I have had with GMT400 doors is when the pins/bushings wear. The repeated slamming of a wore out pin/bushing door wrecks the clips, rods, interior panel, window track/regulators, mirrors etc.

Another Gremlin... Time to move on?

OP- I believe we are in a point in time where the TBI systems are starting to have serious issues between the wiring and PCM. I have a 1989 that was purchased new by my grandfather and well maintained. Eventually I began to experience low power, coughing, hard starts, etc. I spent hours with...

Replacing timing chain cover on 1998 chevy 305

Can't do that on the Vortec motors w/ plastic covers. The seal is non-serviceable. OP- You will need to drop the oil pan some. Like others have mentioned, leave the rearmost bolts in and remove the fronts, allowing clearance to slip the timing cover in. If its the nice blue re-usable felpro...
