94 k1500 brake shoe and drum size

I didn't see anything screwy with the caliper mounting system. Simply remove the backing plate for the drum brakes and bolt on the bracket for the caliper. And as far as the master cylinder upgrade that he sells, I believe it's just a master cylinder out of an NBS truck. They bolt right up to...

94 k1500 brake shoe and drum size

That might be true seeing as I did install everything all at one time. But whatever it was that caused the increase in braking power did so in an insane way. I literally used to get scared if something happened causing me to need to stop short. Now even with a trailer I'm not worried.

Sounds like an 11 inch drum to me. As far as years, I would guess they came from an 88 to 98 GM

    Well, that was unexpected!

    I know the feeling. Lol

I also completely replaced every single brake line on my truck with a whole new stainless steel brake line kit. When I first got my truck I was never able to even bleed the rear brakes. I believe there was a clog or a kink in the line somewhere. Once I put the new brake line kit on everything...

    Well, that was unexpected!

Muffler is a cherry bomb glass pack so I don't think there's much residing in there. Lol

The 10-bolt rear ends came in either 10 inch drums or 11 inch drums. Measure the inside diameter of one of the drums. Or look on the outside of the drum for a stamp

Do yourself the biggest favor possible and ditch the rear drum brakes. Head over to littleshopmfg.com and purchase one of their rear disc brake conversion kits. And I also highly recommend doing the master cylinder upgrade as well. Easily one of the three best things I've ever done for my truck.

    Well, that was unexpected!

So a little history, I have a 1995 K1500 5.7L 4L60E 302.5k miles. I've had it for just over 5 years now.The motor has been amazing, never had a single problem out of it. The transmission(or transmissions to be honest. 5 of them but who's counting) are another story altogether, but that's not...

    96' K1500 Braking HELL

Ditch the rear drums if you can. My 95 k1500 had what I called "prayer" brakes. Because if you ever had you stop short and suddenly you were definitely praying it stopped in time. This is the kit I went with. https://www.littleshopmfg.com/gm-88-00-k1500-rear-disc-brakes-6-lug-for-10-drum-axles/...

    Moving front disk to rear

I highly recommend this kit. https://www.littleshopmfg.com/gm-88-00-k1500-rear-disc-brakes-6-lug-for-10-drum-axles/ I opted for the upgraded master cylinder and the parking break caliper and all I can say is WOW!! I still can't believe how easy the install was and the difference in my stopping...

    Need a little advice

I was planing on leaving the vortec intake on the engine and swapping the whole harness from the Yukon over to the k1500. Since my truck is still running good right now I have the time to pull everything out of the Yukon and have it ready to go. But I figured while I have the vortec engine on a...

    Need a little advice

I'm new to this site, but I have a 1995 k1500 with the TBI 350 with 270,000 miles. It runs great other than it seems like it doesn't want to stop running when I turn the key off. But in preparation for the engine going out I was able to aquire a 1996 Yukon with the vortec 350. My plan is to pull...
