What's y'all's oil pressure readings on 5.7 vortec?
Well my grandfather was original owner of my truck he always serviced the truck regularly 3,000 miles and drive it on mostly highway, also I have ran valvoline full synthetic since I bought it, I run it 5k miles, and never add a drop, that's with living in mountains and towing as well it's stays...- Black stallion

What does your read when it's cold? When driving mines between 40-45...I'd be worried if you have much less then 20 at idle- Black stallion

My truck holds 60 when cold, 40-45 when driving and 25 at idle is that ok at idle?- Black stallion

Yea I just was second guessing it because the factory mirrors are gloss and they look pretty good and the tows are flat black..but I do a lot of towing I have a small lawn service on the side.- Black stallion

Random Miss Fire only above 2500rpm!?!
Distributor gear. My 98 Tahoe had the same problem with maf unplugged it would run a lot better as well the gears get wore out I had one very slim tooth- Black stallion

HELP both my doin it gaskets are leaking within a week from each other
Well I've tested all mounts and they are all good , it just turned 200k so I guess it's just age, the studs look rough though and it looks like the dr side pipe is cracked at the flare, I'm ordering the pacesetter long tubes and my muffler guy is cuttin the carts out running the pipe on drivers...- Black stallion

HELP both my doin it gaskets are leaking within a week from each other
Ok so I have a 1997 k1500 4x4 5.7 and recently my drivers side donut gasket started leaking well within a week the other side is leaking I h the factory true duals with both cats then its straight piped to 45s out the back. Why would they both start leaking so close my motor and trans mounts...- Black stallion

Need Exhaust Opinions!
On my 1997 5.7 silverado (pictures to come just joined forum) I ran straight pipes original manifolds and original cats wich give sufficient back pressure no muffler true duels at 45's with 4" stainless tips. Before I got the truck tuned (efi live v2) it really sounded like crap especially when...- Black stallion
