    also, make damn sure that your timing is TDC.

    I solved my trucks idle issues by properly, changing the IAC valve. 91k2500 vortec 5.7.

    Thanks for all of the good info. It need up being a bad IAC I got from vatozone. swapped it out, and it idles fine.

    this sounds like the issue I'm having. I have replaced my fuel pump, and filter, and a bunch of other sensors. I hope it is something I overlooked. good luck, and I will get back if I hear anything.

    It seems to run best, after I dis/re connect the battery. and after a short drive it starts idling low, and seems to loose the oomph. I have changed the MAP, EGR & solenoid, IAC, CTS, plugs, wires, cap, coil, fuel filter & pump, TPS, knock sensor, o2, sensor. it has never had the engine light...

    So what's the latest update? Was it the corroded battery terminals? Or the brittle, cracked o2 sensor plug.

    Try changing the knock sensor. $30.
