What do you guys think of this newer style bowtie in the center of the tailgate? Getting the last few body panels worked out, the bed will be the last. Also turns out that water still beads up nicely in the rain and the finish cleans up nicely. :)

I’m going to do the same center bow tie on my tailgate and the newer style 2500HD badges in the recessed body lines in the lower part of the door. Do you think there will be a problem getting the badges to stick to the raptor liner? It’s going to look like I’m copying everything you’ve done haha! Looks great so far dude!

A good quality 3M foam double sided tape should stick without issue. That's what I'm using anyways haha. Thanks again for the compliments!

Hey everyone sorry it's been quite a while since my last post. Turns out getting married, going on a long honeymoon then coming back to the inescapable hell fire that is modern society takes a lot out of you haha. Things are finally starting to settle down so I should be able to start the finish work on my truck. Didn't get it quite done for the wedding, but I was really close. The body is fully painted, just have the front bumper and grille to go then button down a few more things. My brand new fuel pump I tested multiple times with the bed off just died when it realized I put the bed back on. Ugh. :biggun: Here is a quick shot of the bed being worked out. I'll try to snap some fresh pictures by this weekend. Hopefully everyone has been doing well!

Nah, I've just been doing a little filler work to repair where some of the SMC had chipped under the step pads. I like shaved steps on the street truck, but no so much a 4x4. I'll get some more photos up soon. :)

I've owned my truck just shy of one year...it was just supposed to be a placeholder until I could afford a newer truck, but I've since fallen in love with its character. I think the gmt400 trucks are the best-looking trucks on the road. Your thread is inspiring! I currently don't feel like I have the skill or knowledge to do what you've done, but I dream that one day I will. I hope that I can enjoy this truck for many years to come; seeing your progress gives me hope that I will someday be able to fully restore my k2500 :)

Cheers to your hard work!!

I really appreciate the kind words JohnBravo! I agree with your opinion that these are still the best looking trucks ever. Rather timeless, honestly. Especially when their built right and clean. The newer trucks don't have the same character. Your truck will come around in time. You can't hurt these things, it just takes some self confidence and a little know-how. :)

Almost done! Still need to replace the fuel pump (again) I've just been crazy busy. Planning on getting a rear bumper step pad that is meant to fit without the impact strip, also planning to do the 4 way front marker light mod. :)
