Hello everyone. This is my first post. I have read a fair amount but I am still needing a bit of knowledge. My truck is the OBS 2000 C3500 Crew Cab with a pair of vinyl benches. The front is not unusable and the rear is mildewed but will clean up. Truck is manual everything.
I am stripping the interior to pull the worn vinyl floor and clean the drain channels. They were full of clay were I guess they washed the truck out over the years.
So a local yard has a 2005 4dr(full door) Z71 with near perfect black leather interior. I have done business with them for years and they have given me a serious deal on the complete front and rear seat assemblies.
I have read various post about using the 2 current holes and drilling 2 more for the front. I have not found a clear post about mounting the rear seat. I would love to have the pair in my truck. Any thoughts or experience would be appreciated.
Second question, all my trim is gray. Should I leave it gray or dye it black to match the new seats? The headliner is coming out so that can also be changed. Dash could also be pulled to further complete the change. The truck is a second vehicle/project.
I will try to post some pics once the yard pulls the seats.
