I'm looking at DDM tuning and it looks like their prices have dropped a little bit. I'm wanting to get a set of HID's and I'm going to get a set of the halo projectors off eBay later on. What all do I need to buy for these trucks? I'm just going to get the low beams for now. Do I need the hid harness or error eliminator?

I'm going to go with 35 watt, 9006 bulbs (is that right?) and either 6k or 8k bulb color and the mounting brackets of course.

I read the sticky and it said something about needing a relay? Is that the harness?

What else am I needing?

Also can some of you guys post pics of 6k vs 8k with the stock headlights?

Thanks guys!

Okay so basically I need the 4 hi harness if I use high beams. As Long as I don't use them I should be fine though right?

Will the rest of the harness handle it?

The harness Baron offers also ensures that full voltage gets to the ballasts so the HIDs fire up properly. The stock harness doesnt always allow for that depending on the truck. Some guys have pulled it off and some have had some serious damage result from the stock harness melting down. When i get to the same stage on my diesel i will be running a harness from Baron or one i picked up from MOBs since im a vendor for Hyper. Either way i will sort it out at that point.

Wow i thought hids were just a plug in and go.

Not really....they pull a lot of voltage on initial fire up. after they are warmed up no problem but its that first time they are lit up each day that they pull a lot and thats where the damage happens. Plus our stock headlight lenses are very poor for HID use.

The 4-Hi mod is also highly recommended for HID's due to the time it takes for the bulbs to heat up to full brightness. Even if you have all 4 bulbs swapped to HID, when you go from low to high, or high to low, there's a second or two that you actually have NO lights during the time it takes for the bulbs to fire & reach full brightness.
