I decided to just cap off the evap purge hose (#7 in the picture from my earlier post) and put a vented cap on the end of the line to the fuel tank (#5) It seems to start a little easier now. I think the purge valve might be a bit leaky and it was sucking in fumes from the gas tank vent hose when the two lines were connected. Now that i have it capped of it eliminated one possible vacuum leak and starts a bit easier. (or so it seems). But now i have raw gas fumes venting under my hood, which i think is less than ideal.
