Above your feet, follow the pedal shaft up. The turn signal and brake are the same bulb filament. A brighter light. Running light is not as bright. If you don't have it, in a sticky above is thread to it download for FREE , OE service manuals for your year truck. Has everything you need , the wire diagrams, all basic knowledge how to.
Hey I’m new here and I’m not exactly sure how to access the sticky that you’re referring to. I looked under the steering wheel and noticed a red wire cut as well as a blue one they are slightly bigger gauge that most that are in harnesses I’m not sure what they are too.

Hitch on the truck? might be for a brake controller that's been removed.

Check the ground forward of left rear bumper bracket, a bolt through the rail with an attached ground, notorious for non-grounding. The tail lights have circuit boards that can go bad as well.
I’m lookin at it now it’s pretty rusty and I came out today and damn thing won’t start. Brand new battery it stutters like it wants to . I put battery charger on it just in case I have something draining power. The ground looks like this….update I cleaned it up like the pics and I started it up after I charged the battery and it started but still nothing. Brakes are depressed. This is what happeneds when I turn the lights on. Last image is headlights on brakes depressed and the first one headlights off brakes depressed.

I can't remember exactly what that ground being bad caused but it was along the lines of blinker indicator being fast , a stuck on brake light or one that wouldn't come on. I removed bolt hit the frame with a wire brush, put a new ring terminal, and put it back together. That ground has to be good for the tail lights to work properly.

Think you chasing multiple issues. Starter solenoids can short to ground and kill a battery, fusible links have been mentioned, is the alt charging at 14.4 v etc. A bad alt. will smoke a battery etc. It time to dig and check stuff.
