So.... Does anyone know if there is any difference between 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton skidplates? Elise is missing hers, and I'd quite like to get another set on her in the near future. There's a couple of 1/2 ton rigs in my local yard, so if they're the same, I'll just snag those.

Yeah, she is fantastically clean overall. I seriously spent 5 years looking for a '98 or '99 Suburban that had both the E55 tailgate/liftglass and also 4wd. I was more biased towards K1500s, but when she popped up, I was willing to put up with the K2500. Especially since I came from a kidney bruising Dodge 2500 diesel. And I've had close to a decade's worth of experience with the 454 before I got Elise here.

So, does anyone wanna talk me out of doing an NV4500 swap in my Burb?
Semi-locally, I've found a '98 K3500 that's wrecked in the rear. NV4500 & BW4401 are intact. It still has everything I'd need, as far as I can tell.
