What kind of mileage do you get?

I had a 1993 worktruck 2wd 4.3 and the best I got was 34mpg. I would consistently get over 1000 miles per tank.
I have yet to drive my 96 4x4 w/ 305. What are people getting with their 305 vortec 5 speeds?

My friend has a blazer around the same year with the 305 and gets 18 MPG best...

Yeah, I've believed 23 or 25 but not 34. That's more than the civic I used to drive.
