Well, I live on a mountain and drop 1000 ft or so going back and forth to work, 35 miles one way, but no real city driving, just the occasional short trip, have the 96 for that, and I do get fairly consistent around 20 mpg

Put 19.656 gallons in and went 439.7 miles on the reset trip, with a 26 gallon tank, I could have went 500 miles easily on that last tank

Ohh I see, that makes sense now. That's still awesome to say you can get 20 with a 350. I get a solid 8 with my 350 but my drive to school is about all I do and it's maybe a half mile all uphill so it doesn't get much time to just run

I have been consistent 12.2 mpg with mods in sig, on **** winter gas, 10 minutes total warm up per day, 15 miles one way to work, <60mph and about 12 stoplights in between to hit or miss.

That is terrible, did you get a tune and adjust for tire size? even with 35's you should be at stock MPG numbers or better.

I assume the tire size is to blame here. I probably would have been better off to re-gear and leave the engine/trans stock/tune stock. At this point, the 3.73 gears preform outstanding off road. Im assuming anything else i do to it will hurt the mileage even worse. Unless i end up modding a set of headers i have to fit it and throwing those manifolds away that is.

14.9 average my last tank. That's about 90% highway, but with winter gas and several minutes of warmup each morning, it's to be expected.

In the full death grip of winter here. -10 to -15 C for the last couple weeks means extended warm up times even driving it down the road (means more time in the "enrichment" tables).

Toss in winter diesel on top of that and I'm likely down to 11-13 mpg now.

I'm usually around 16-17 combined......
