Dammit!

Last tank I dropped to 14 Mpg.

Winter diesel has hit the tanks......:mad:

I dont know if they put in winter diesel down here(texas)? My mpg since im back driving mine again is better? o_O

Doubtful they use it in Texas for they same reasons they do up north. It is possible you're getting it because that's what is coming out of the refineries for the most part at this time of the year.

Winter diesel usually drops the MPG a couple because of the additive package and the effects on the cetane ratings...

i rarely fill mine up, but for my 96 vortec 5.7 6" lift turning 35s i put in 40L of gas and get about 200km. if that helps any.

Not really, unless you can talk to a fuel supplier in your area....not the pump jockey, not the station owner, not the guy driving the tanker trucks. You need to talk to the wholesaler who sells it to the garage to even have half a chance of knowing what's actually in the fuel you're getting.

I use a cetane booster in winter and the anit-gelling additives in winter diesel still drop my MPG a couple or so.

Thing is, we're really far north and it still rarely gets down low enough to gell diesel here....
