Sunroofs on 88-98 gm trucks

Hey there I'm new to this site, I've seen a few of these trucks with sunroofs before I'm wondering if anyone would know if it was a rare factory option back in the day or would they all be custom? Pic is of my 99 gmc 3500 6.5 diesel

I think the sunroof was optional, but wasn't a very well liked option because all it did was leak.

My 96 has a sunroof. It is not factory though. My truck was a direct from factory Monroe Sport Truck conversion. They installed the sunroof and it has never once leaked. It is the manual tilt style.
The biggest problem I have with it is that it will make replacing the headliner a good bit more difficult when the time comes.

I don't believe a sunroof was ever a factory option on these trucks...

I've seen a few but they were all custom jobs.
