Here is my 1996 with current specs and whats getting ready to be done. Tranny swap will be fully documented in the transmission area

Mods done to the truck over the years

305 5.0 replaced with a crate 350 330hp 400ftlb torque
Auburn Posi with 4:10 gears
Shorty headers
Full Flowmaster dual exhaust from the headers back
4 burned up 4L60e automatic Tranny's. The "Monster Transmission" exploded
18" Dante Designs wheels licensed with the Cragar Logo. Like only 200 sets were made from what I am told.
shaved door handles
smoothy front bumper
Stillen Phantom grill
BIG 3 stinger HPM 0/1
powermaster 200amp Alt
Rear bench replaced with custom mounted fold up jump seats.
Billet Dash
Belltech 2" 4" drop kit
Energy Suspension Polyurathane bushings Body mounts, sway bar, control arm
Edelbrock performer IAS shocks
96 computer replaced with 2002 GM 0411 PCM (easier to tune)
Dyno tuned
Opima Red Top

Automatic 4L60e to Manual NV3500 transmission swap. Will be documented here and on the GMT400 forum
Luk Clutch
Hurst short throw er kit
High performance distributor from DUI distributors
Vmax Manifold/plenum Spacer
new carpet
new Universal racing buckets
get retuned on the Dyno and PCM flashed for the manual tranny

Nice truck sounds like a good plan except the nv3500 part. You will scatter it faster than those 4l60's. You should look at a tko or a ss700 from kiesler for manuals. Good luck!

I am getting the nv3500 for $300, it should to get the conversion done and hopefully give me time to save up for a t56. I haven't made any real progress yet. I had to move my alarm system (an unplanned step), It was mounted right where the clutch bracket fits. I am planning on getting the pedals in this weekend.

Just be really really easy on it. No power shifts, clutch dumps an easy on the throttle an it might live.

In other words no fun stuff allowed an drive like a grandpa!

Should my tranny swap be documented on this thread or am I supposed to start a swap thread in the tranny section? I make some progress this weekend
