Just don't get happy trying to move the striker or you will end up plating it like someone did to mine. My door shuts good tho, so im not really worried about it. Jack and block is the way to go.

Yes sir. Mine was already done, but i have done a few of them myself. Weld the cracks and plate the post is about all you can do. I have done one of them from the inside where you can't see it, but its a major PITA to get it welded in there.
