I just bought this truck a couple months ago at used car dealership for 4000 out the door with 167k on it. But since then I have had to replace my pretty much the entire fuel system, wheel cylinders, master cylinder, battery and whole bunch other stuff which I did myself with the help of good friends

So basically i'm a broke 22 year old barely living paycheck to paycheck with hardly any tools, no good location to work on my truck, and very poor mechanic skills

in other words this is going to be a VERY VERY slow build. but i'll try to make it fast and as helpful as I possibly can for other people that may be in the same situation as myself:)

Now here are my crazy stupid ideas

Simple stuff
-plasti dip mirrors, windshield wipers, and possibly rear bumper
-replace taillights ( I just don't like em )
-headache rack
-throw a decorative blanket or something over my headliner that's falling off
-add a better cab light ( might even stick a battery powered led tap light on the ceiling as long as it looks good )
-add more lights to the grille so I can see at night
-tailgate light
-grille guard
-do a homemade CAI
-more cupholders!!!
-put something stupid on the dash
-make toolboxs to go lengthwise over the wheel wells along the bed

Stuff I can't decide on
-bed rails
-neon under dash
-back up camera
-bucket seats or make a center console on bench
-HIDs
-fishing pole holders
-mount bbq grill on tailgate.lol
-plasti dip some ugly artwork on the hood to cover up the missing paint

Stuff I need to fix
-AC, it sucks and TX is hot
-airbag lights turns off and on all the time
-blown out speaker
-something is wobbling
-gas gauge bouncing ( even with new sending unit )
-rear window has broken latch
-drivers seat flys forward everytime I hit the brakes. not fun

Now for my crazy stupid dreams
-lift kit
-bigger tires
-paint job or at least the hood
-butterfly doors ( yea im crazy )
-bigger engine
-camper top
-sun roof
-ram hood
-ranch style front and rear bumpers
-have a reliable vehicle that runs as if new

I'm also considering building a lot of this stuff out of wood.

I know your not allowed to post on other people threads in this section but for questions or recommendations please feel free to PM me

sorry still learning how to upload pics on this site

made a CAI today, pretty much the same concept
spectre air filter $30
2 in plumbing cap $5
soda can free

I just cut up a soda can all the way down to the bottom then placed that over where the vortec box would go, then put a 2 in rubber plumbing cap over that (I got worried at the thought of the rubber cap getting sucked into my engine)

then just changed out the air filter

I haven't noticed any difference in power or mpg yet
