This is my daily driver used for towing a 7K dumper. The goal for the build is to increase the sports performance without diminishing towing capabilities. l'll endeavor to upgrade anything that can improve safety, reliability, performance and comfort in that order.

The truck is basically a 2wd 3/4 ton long bed with Silverado trim and a trailering package. I'm information and specification driven so I'll include useful data which is relevant to the post. To that end, the odometer at 187k miles and the complete RPO list follows:

One thing to keep in mind this is what we refer to as the 2500"LD" - or 6 lug 2500. Lower GVWR (the 7200lbs that you highlighted) than the 8 lug 2500 which is typically 8600lbs. The 2500LD is essentially a 1500 with a stronger rear axle and a little bit more spring.

If you're towing a 7K trailer with it my first thought would be "heavy duty auxiliary transmission cooler" because while your truck may have come with a "cooler" from the factory, it's no more than an extra loop of the hard line routed in the driver's side frame rail.

What are the upgrades you are considering?
Thanks for your welcome message. I'm upgrading and/or replacing more than everything which includes parts I have yet to install. All to support a new gm performance 383 with aluminum vortec heads fresh from its dyno run.
