This isn't going to be extremely detailed, but i will try.

The pictures following are of my 1993 GMC Sierra 1500 SLE Kingcab Long bed with the Z71 package.

I got it with 148k august 2012, from my grandpa.

It currently sits at 154k , and has had 3 oil changes since I've gotten it. The old oil had been in there for 27k miles and 10 years. He didn't drive it alot, or service it alot.

It has the GM350 TBI engine(190hp?), mated to a 4L60-E transmission.

It's obviously not going to have the get up and go that a taken care of truck would have; that being said here is what I've done since ownership of the truck.
3 Oil & filter changes(MOBIL1) with lucas oil additive
4wd Actuator replacement
Front sway bar link replacement
Air filter replacement
A/C recharge
Thermostat replacement
Gatorback(napa) serpentine belt replacement
Intake manifold gasket replacement (A TON OF SLUDGE IN THERE, TAR BLACK & THICK)
Throttle body Rebuild
New tires
New rear brake cylinders
New master Cylinder
New Vacuum booster
New Brake lines all over
New spark plugs
New Spark plug wires
New Distrubuter/rotor/cap
New Battery
Cleaned/Painted Air filter housing
Restored head lights/tail lights
New radio because factory am/fm/cassette stopped working
New starter/wire
Cleaned rims
seafoamed it

That's all i can think of for the moment.

Now enjoy some pictures (yes she has the cab corner rust, and the bed and fenders are starting where the paint has fallen off)

This is when i had done the Intake gaskets....

You could always post a pic in the photoshop section and they could chop it for you so you know what it looks like ahead of time. I think it'll look good

You weren't kidding about the sludge inside the motor, jeez!! It seemed pretty clear the oil hadn't been changed lol.

I'm not sure if you plan on replacing the cab corners or not, but if I were you I'd think twice about installing running boards. My '98 had a set or chrome nerf bars on it in the early 2000's and they seemed to hold all of the slush/ice/salt against the rockers. I think that is the only reason they rusted like that have.

Its not often I see ECLB OBS trucks. That would look awesome with the front end cranked to level and some aggressive tires on there.
