I was planning on a uncapped, straight header one, already had it going twice today straight headers LOL.

Need one with exhaust as well, never took one before.

ok guys here's some pics and a video, it's all done, all bolted up, exhaust and all. Fit was great, only problems I think is that it's close on the plugs(clearance) and ease of access to them basically. Other then that so far no complaints.

Man that looks nice. I like the way they look after use. How close are those plug wires to your headers?

plug wires are fine, maybe 1/4 or more between them.

I don't think it would matter alot, just what wires you have, I've seen some cheap autozone crap wires melt the boot down to bare wire being close to headers and not touching, and I have also seen the mallory set my old man has on his 84 laying on the header tube, not burnt. His no.3 is right on the header tube and it's the boot and has not melted. Mine have good room. I may have more then 1/4 maybe more like 1/2 but aint sure. The only ones close are mine are the straight boot ones, they have less then a 1/4 between them and the tube.

Did you need to modify the Y pipe at all to bolt up to the headers? Also, did you need to use a donut gasket between headers and Y pipe?

No that's why they have the ball end, NO donut gasket at all.

I had no y-pipe but if your manifolds are bolted to your y-pipe then these drop right in place of manifolds NO problems.
