Ok I have done some searching but haven’t found what I need. I drive a 98 gmc k1500 with 5.7, I have a 4L80e and 241 from a 94 suburban. Not looking for a parts list but will the swap be similar to other swaps where a post 95 4l80e was used? Can I mate the 243 that’s in the truck to the 4l80 for now till I get around to putting a hole in the floor for the 241? Any help is appreciated thanks

94 4L80E does not have the provisions for the case mounted park/neutral switch. They used the column mounted switch until 95. The shift shaft is also shorter as a result and they don't have the bracket for the shift cable. It is possible to make it all work with some effort. Also keep in mind that the trans cooler line setup would be different with a 96 and older trans so make sure to use the correct lines for those years.
