The system is actually dual 2 1/2" to the mufflers, then dual 3" over axle pipes. I actually didn't lose any low end as far as my butt tells me, I actually feel like it picked up seriously all round, low and high. The 3K stall helps it go down low though, plus the truck has 4.10s so it will pull a mid 7 0-60 on the right day :D
I'm sure anything is better than the stock manifolds and midpipes, you're definitely letting that cam breathe now

Usually the duals both run together and the drivers side crosses over the axle to its exit, I had 3" exiting my muffler before too ,it gives a little deeper tone. Get some pics and a vid up when you've got some time. we're all rather eager to see/hear it.
