The thing that gets me about the HIR's, like the 9012 for example, is it doesn't have the black coating on the tip like 9006/9005 halogen capsules do. That leads me to believe that in a stock style housing, or an aftermarket housing w/o the cap over the low beam, that you'd still get a lot of glare. Do your DEPO headlights have the cap like a TYC Elegante?

You're the first person I've actually seen using the HIR's in a GMT400, thanks for posting!

The Depo brand headlights do not have a glare shield.
I thought for sure I would get flashed with the HIR bulbs, but it hasn't happened yet.
I put them in a year ago (more or less).

My fog/driving lights, however, cause people to flash their brights at me.
Needless to say, I rarely turn them on.
