Ground strap

I have a strap on the pass side that is connected the top of the frame. Just down from the manifold connection. Where does it bolt to?

firewall to frame, and then head to firewall

vortec or tbi? mine is directly next to the passenger exhaust manifold on the firewall about level with the endge of the cylinder head, its probably hidden by your AC

There is a stud on the firewall for it

There one from frame to just below the heater core hose. And the one hanging is from the same bolt in the frame but to nothing

so theres two? the second should go to the back of the cylinder head.

Another way to explain it: the rear of the passenger cylinder head, and a spot on top of the frame behind the passenger upper control arm, both have ground straps that connect at the same stud on the firewall - just under where the heater hoses go through.
