She had a bad tranny. Lost 3rd and 4th while going down the highway. It was a choice between rebuilding the tranny for $1,000 or selling her for $2,500.

I had a choice when my manifold cracked. Sell for 2500 or spend 1200 on exhaust parts at 252k miles.

To say how much difference there is between the pricing he got on both of his options and what it cost to replace the transmission on my truck. It cost about $2000 after everything was said and done to get a transmission identical to the one that was in it before. No mods or upgrades

I'm still kicking myself to this day for getting rid of mine. I hated that truck so much but loved it at the same time. I probably would have it "done" by now too.
