I know ive asked about 37's on my truck before, but do you think my truck could handle 35" toyos or some other tire? What gears would I need/be the best?

I just really want to lift my truck!!

You should be able to handle the 35's with the right gearing with your 4.3, atleast alot better then the 37's. I would go with 4.88 gears and 35's to help get the 6 cylinder rolling the bigger and heavier tires.

dude a cepek does 37's just ask southern pride. I saw 37's or nothing, but if it does 37's YOU KNOW 35's will work. Even some ridiculous wide ones probably.

I say 5.13's for pulling power and torque, but if you want some highway setup maybe 4.56's or 4.11's

OOOHHH 4.3 missed that. not a clue on 4.3's not sure what they can take.

I wasn't aware that you had a 4.3 in there :hmm: and are you asking if you can it 37's or 35's with the cepek? I mean....you've seen my threads you know that answer but for gearing I'd go 4.56 on 35's and 4.88 37's...What gears are in your truck now? That's the question, and do you like how it is geared now with whatever you got an the tires you got...Once I get those answers I'll be able to tell u what gears you'd want with a 35 or 37.

its probably 3:42 stock, im guessing you will want 4:88s with a 4.3 and 35's. I wouldnt go over 35s with a 4.3

The way I see it is the gears help you to pull it, so haveing 30's and 3.42's might be a strain but 37's and say 5.13's won't be as much of a strain IMO as the previous statment. Only thing is rpms, don't want to really rev up or over rev the 4.3.

i was more thinking cause you always want that extra power if you need it for if you catch your self going up a steep grade or out in the trails needing to climb up over something, i think 4:88s would do it, but i have no clue what a 4.3 feels like in a full size truck

well, if you start directly after work on friday night, you can probably have a 6.0 under neath your hood by time to go to work on monday, just dont plan on sleeping all weekend, and then you dont have to worry about not having enough power :)
