I just got my dads 94 c1500 with the 4.3. It needs new rear break lines. But i cant seem to find a definitive answer on what break lines from front to rear and what fittings it needs. On know that the 1/4 line i bought is smaller then the line from the front to the rear. Any help would be appreciated. Right now im just getting it back on the road so not going fancy just making my lines. Thank you

1/4 shouldn't have been too small. 1/4 front to back and 3/16 side to side. Brakes dont need to move a whole lot of volume. OEM may have looked larger because they were using a different metal composition and needed more wall thickness to hold the pressure???

If you dont already have it, get a fitting assortment and restock as necessary then a roll of 1/4 and 3/16 copper/nickel tubing. You'll be set for a few vehicles.

Yea, thats a common thing to do when doing any brake work. I've been running deleted RWABS in my 93 for years without any problems. As long as your comfortable driving in the winter without modern aides. A little slower, a little longer following distance and know the road conditions as soon as you start driving (hard accel/hard brake right away)
