Anybody else rockin the 305?

I've got the 305, 5.0 it seems like everyone on here has the 350. Is there something I should know about my engine?

Hunter's 97 has the 5.0L Vortec I believe. 350 tbi here so not much help.

Buddy of mine has the 5.0l Vortec. Loves it. 97 ecsb 2wd. Its a peppy little thing for a 5.0L but the 2000 5.3L i had could eat it alive.

Yep I have a 305 vortec as Scott said. I have no complaints. It's faster and pulls better than my TBI 350. But if it ever dies it will be replace with something with a lot more power!

dang that's suprising, my trucks a tortoise and I'm getting 10mpg right now

When I was lowered and running 275/60r15s with 3.42s I was getting 16mpg. Idk what it is now, the speedo is off.

I have a 305 from a 91 camaro that Im throwing together since my 4.3 took a .. 270h cam n so on... I want to do a turbo 5.3 or 4.8 in the long run if i keep the truck but this is a quick fix

my first vehicle was a 95 RCSB C1500 5.0L. I bought it from a dealership and it had a 40 series flowmaster with the exhaust dumped right after the rear axle. that thing made a beautiful sound going nowhere fast lol. I miss that thing. it was perfect for 16 year old me. i now have a 98 ECSB K1500 5.7L
