Some of you learned of this truck last night when i initially started talking about trading my old dodge for it. What you guys didnt know is that my daily driver threw yet another alternator belt and i needed to make the deal happen a bit faster then planned. I know i know...new truck instead of fixing alt belt? When the car in question is a FWD Acura that has a stupid set up that requires one engine mount to be disconnected to change the damn thing properly and with this being the holiday weekend plus the simple fact im getting tired of it doing this every freaking summer. Plus the car has a few other issues i want to deal with before bringing it back onto the road. Thus why i worked with the seller on a deal and got rid of a lot of stuff that was sitting at the same time. Basically i liquidated half of my projects leaving the '94 as my main project followed by the bikes.

Anyways onto the pics i took earlier with the phone and the info on the truck

Funny enough that was one of the first things i checked only to learn its got brand new ones, so im thinking i may need to adjust the door latch set up itself.

Thread subbed for later replies. This will be a cool build, nice base to work with.

Thanks. Its already throwing me a few curve balls like specing out to have a 454 rather then the 350 thats sitting under the hood. So im going to look for signs of a possible engine swap such as labels indicating the bigger motor. Other then that i gotta wait till tuesday to hit the gm dealer and have the RPO codes decoded by vin.

Heres what i have decoded so far...

You can fix the wipers with a soldiering gun, I posted a youtube link on my 98's build thread that will show you how to fix it for free, it beats paying $25 for a new pulse board.

Thanks for the suggestion i will def look into it as a possible cause.

You can decode your VIN online.

I have yet to find a vin decoding site that gives me all the RPO info. But thanks for the suggestion. Do you happen to know of a decoding site that gives more then the basic info?

Not more than basic info, but it should tell you your engine size:

http://www.decodethis.com/

Ok after doing a vin decode using that site it turns out the truck did in fact originally have a 454 in it. So some where along the line it had a 350 dropped into it. Im gonna hazzard a guess that it was due to the 454 either burning too much fuel or simply the 454 died and they dropped in the 350 to replace it rather then putting another 454 into it. Given the chassis has close to half a million KM on it like my Diesel im not surprised really. Who ever did that swap did it right at least since the truck runs and drives fine. I may take a look under it today to confirm that it is a TH400 under there as a transmission. Though i would be surprised if its anything but given it is a 1 ton.

Heres what the vin decode showed...last few digits of the vin xd out for obvious reason

Here are some pics from when i did some 4x4 testing last night to see if the 4wd worked properly and discovered the sloppy T case linkage not allowing it to stay in 4L0.
