1995 K1500 Spare Tire Carrier Hoist Problems

Had a flat tire on my 1995 K1500 last night and when I went to get my spare, it would not drop down. Put the tire iron through the bumper but it just spins. Any suggestions on how I can get my spare out since the hoist will not work? Thanks for the help.

Got it figured out!! Seems the cotter pin that connects the sleeve to the hoist shaft came out.

Same with mine. Was a bugger to get a new one in there.
