Figured id start a thread detailing my whole build since August 2017.

My buddy had this truck since new back in '91. It had a 4.3/NV3500 in it for awhile. Then he put a supercharger on it to pull his boat. That lasted about 100k miles and decided to put a 350/700R4 in it. Then a 355/700R4/4.10s, then a 383/700R4/4.10/Eaton LSD, then TH400 Swap with 3.73s and 200 Shot nitrous.
When i got it, it had 280k miles on it and only a roller without a Engine/Trans.

It had been sitting outside since 2008 i think it was when he broke the crank in the 383 and lost interest.

His neighbor was mowing grass and busted out the back window without knowing it. Ruined the interior.

So i gutted it and starting over.

It was a very good looking truck back in the day.

Time stamp on the last trailer ride after broken crank in the 383.
He had a thing for black step side trucks. My dad bought the 2004 from him several years ago and its still kicking with 300k miles on it now.

I hauled it to the shop and washed all the junk off of it from sitting for 10 years. And cleaned it out inside.

Engine and trans sitting on front of the trailer is the 2007 LM7 5.3 with a ISKY 212/212 .561/.561 114 Cam and FLT Level 4 4L80E that was fried. Got my buddy to freshen it up and its ready to go.

I gutted the interior and pressure washed everything inside. Dried it, and added a nice thick layer of POR-15 to the floor pans.
Ordered some cheap seats off Summit Racing and made some serious seat brackets.

Test fit good and is very comfortable.

Attempting to build a dash for it. Its more work that i thought it would be and now im going to do a cage in it so i gotta take it out and modify it a good bit on the sides.

Trying to figure out a center console also.

Decided to build a fuel cell and mount it in the rear.
First attempt at mounting was a failure so i cut all that our and redid it.

Dual Walbro 255's and a small fuel filter :D

Made a shock cross member and used Rancho 9000XL from a 2000 S10 ZR2 front shocks since their travel length and mounting ends worked out just right.

I was trying to figure out a simple fuel filter setup. I come up with this contraption. It will flow 7+ times more than the dual walbro 255's will at 14.5 Volts and 80PSI. So ill give it a try.
I filters down to 2 microns too.
First i got confused on the micron rating. Couldn't remember if the number should be higher or lower.
For instance 2 micron rating should be about 0.0008"
25 Micron rating should be about 0.001"

And my absolute favorite and most painstaken part is the 4" Stainless exhaust that took me forever to do.
