I like them but when these need to be replaced I am gonna with something else. I got a great deal on these used which is why I got them. My g80 actually works pristine so between that and these tires it runs through the snow like its nobodies business and is still smooth on the highway

I called up Tread Wright a minute ago and got a total on a set of 4 315/75r16's and it was $647.24 shipped to my door, the lady said that people rave about the 305/70r16 being amazing in the winter, she said people called and said they didn't even need to put their trucks in 4WD. It's a fking toss up between the 305s or the 315s...

why not get the summit body lift kit it's cheaper?

I'd go 315's I think you can clear them with just the body lift or just the crank, but I'm with you, I'd do both.

thats a really good deal but aint tread wrights recaps? I heard you cannot run recaps or retreads on the front for risk of it coming off. My old man worked at the local goodyear tire shop for years as a service manager and he said you could not use the recaps on the front of the 18 wheelers and in most cases on the drive wheels either, but trailers were fine to use them on.

Is it the same for passenger cars/trucks?

IMHO, go for the skinner tire, Ive always had better luck running taller skinny tires compared to fatter shorter ones ( EX: 235/85/16 > 265/75/16)
