It's always so 50/50 on whether the "I'm a girl that likes trucks" play will work or backfire. :D

Yes, please ditch the yellow font. Default is fine..

I'm with Suburban5, check the ground wire at the rear of the frame, driver's side, right near the connection between the harness along the frame rail and the rear lighting harness. This is often damaged. IF you have a trailer harness, disconnect it for troubleshooting purposes. Lots of problems come from these, whether they're tapped in with hacks (twisted, taped, quick-connects, etc.) or even the pro-looking teed-in style where they click in right between the connectors.

The wipers are likely a bad ground in the engine compartment, or simply the very-common failed solder joints on the circuit board in the motor. Very easy to fix or replace. If you or anyone you know can do very basic electronics soldering you can just re-touch the joints where the harness socket attaches to the circuit board; it's cake. Or you can get a Chinese crap replacement board cheap.

And get a new boyfriend. Complaining that the current one sucks...looks bad on both of y'all. If he sucks, he should be history. :D

Hi , I did the YELLOW FONT , so my post would not be passed by ... and I bought a new harness for the wipers and wired it in . It’s not a bad connection bc I have literally RE-WIRED my whole truck and I CAN definitely CRIMP... I ALSO CAN solder... got a pretty bad burn the first time I tried from a clump falling on my hand... so I learned to wear gloves...as far as the ground issue it’s not that ... I re-wired all of it and have everything but left turn signal and now my license plate light... but I’m pretty sure after re-wiring it all it’s all going to work ... on to that light green wire that’s fried and attempt to follow schematic for license plate ... thank you for your input it’s definitely appreciated... and I don’t jus LIKE TRUCKS... I also have a 01’ Mustang GT that I’ve owned since it was 3 years old with 15,000 miles and it’s sitting at 90,000 now... my dad built that for me... and I NEVER turn down a race... I also ride bikes... I am without a doubt a BadAss

Not to seem like a jerk, but obviously you did something wrong, or it would be working. I also rewired my entire truck, top to bottom, front to rear, within the last 2 months, and have no such problems. And based on your "knowledge" of what wire colors do what, and you supposedly having a burned up reverse signal wire, I'd say your rewire wasn't all that great, and definitely wouldn't be up to my standards. Maybe stop trying to be such a "bad ass" and re-check your setup. You might be surprised at what you find.

Hey Kennythewelder.... First and foremost... that IS ME... and yes I do still look like that... NEXT... last night I re-wired the taillights, about 3ft back towards the front I put in all new wire back to the harnesses... I have Brake, Taillights, and right turn signal... still no 3rd brake light or cargo light and somehow lost my license plate light... now having trouble with actually READING the schematic for that... I think the brown wire connects to all of the brown wires and then I splice into that and then ground that short wire ... and then my left turn signal is the light green wire, but that wire coming from the front of the truck back to it is fried... replacing now and I think that one goes to both of the other light green . Also still no backup lights I’ve never had them ,.. but agin I am in the process of learning all of this clearly... AND I DID do the Big 3 upgrade... even made the wires for them my own damn self... as for the boyfriend , soon as I finish this IM OUTTIE...
AK49BWL is correct on the color code for tail lights ect. All and any splices should be soldered and heat shrunk. This will last the life of your truck. I havent had an issue with my cab brake light, except for it leaking water into the cab, years ago. I replaced it maybe 10 years ago with an anso LED I think. Its been good since. I did have issues with the cargo side of it, but it was a bad solder joint. Once I fixed that, its been good. If you pull yours off, be careful, the gasket will tare most likely. Pulling it, will give you access to the wires, and you can test it with a test light or multi meter. Your truck is looking very sweet.

Well, I AM a BadAss and my wiring is up to standards ... I did not realize the green wire was actually burnt . I jus cut all those wires out and replaced them... it wasn’t only until a couple hours ago I cut that wire out and then checked it... and realized it... SO, giving ALL THAT I’VE DONE... and being pretty successful since I had no knowledge of any of this **** and learned it on my own in a matter of a couple months... I’d say you are indeed a JERK...
park lights, which also feeds the license plate lights. Black and/or white are grounds. This is the same on every GMT400 I've ever seen.
So light green to light green all 3 of them

Quoted me but didn't address me directly...I said start with the bulbs because that's the easiest part to visually check, not because of your yellow font:biggrin:

You gotta be methodical and deliberate trying to chase down a wiring issue, if you overlook something simple you can waste days and days trying to chase a problem. You have the schematic, get a meter and start at one end of the harness. Check voltage as you go.

What kind of bikes? I got a couple.

You say the light green wire is fried.

So is the wire melted down or what to make it "fried"
