    I wouldn't exactly call that a small load, at least for a 1/2 ton. There's gotta be around 5,000lbs there. Nothing an OBS Chevy can't handle though! Especially a '91 RCLB ;) Your truck is my truck's twin except mine's black has a 305 and your body is in much much better condition.

    BEAUTIFUL truck but as everyone else has said wayyy too overpriced. It's not like GMT400's are rare by any means. Seems like $10k would be a reasonable asking price for something that clean and low mileage.

    I am willing to bet the reason why your cab and bed don't line up is due to wore out cab mounts or the metal the cab mounts rest on is rotted out. Very common on these trucks.

    I'll give that a try, steering isn't very sloppy but the front end has original ball joints and I'm not sure when the tie rods and stuff were replaced last.

    That's good to know, how much did it cost to have them turned?? Seems a bit ridiculous new rotors would need to be turned though. Could wheel bearings or ball joints cause a pulsation?

    Absolutely, F44 is the GM RPO code for heavy duty chassis. Basically a heavy half ton, don't know a whole lot about them but they come with 14 bolt semi floating rear ends and a few other upgrades for towing and such.

    Your clunk coming from a stop sounds like either the slip yoke needs to be greased or a bad u-joint. I have no idea about the OP's issue though.

    last i heard it was a 4.5 dmax and that they put the engine development on hold due to a shitty economy. It was also my understanding that the 4.5 dmax was being made for 3/4 ton and 1 ton trucks, not 1/2 tons.

    That's why the isuzu diesel is such an attractive swap. Sure it doesn't put out dmax #'s but for a daily driver you can get excellent mpg, while have a torquey diesel motor for towing and what not. I really wish GM would start putting smaller turbo diesels in half tons.
