    Rear End

I thought all cars were 28 spline? If so you could use axles from a 88 model and be good

Slave: Internal or External? Which is better?

Part number for the master changed in 92 so you may be able to get a 95 master with a 96 line and be good to go. Worth lookin into. I know a 98 master with a 95 line will work so I assume the other way around would as well as long as 88 and 95 masters mount the same.

    Clutch fork ball stud question

It's more or less just to hold it on there while you put it together. Once you get the trans in the slave and throw out bearing/clutch hold the fork against the ball.

    Marine Intake.

I've got a tune so I have lifetime tunes but i dunno how much good a mail order tune will be in this case. Does he give a discount if I ask for the data logging mail order tune?

    Marine Intake.

My bad after I read that again I realize you meant fabricate ac lines not fuel lines. But I have the skill and ability (and equipment) to fab an intake. Besides I haven't seen many of these trucks with any kind of one-off intakes.

    Marine Intake.

The throttle body would hit the ac lines if I put it on there the way it is. And I've been dying to make something one-off for my truck so I'm gonna junk the red part and build a new upper and make the throttle body on the side. Which means I can run any throttle body I want but I would like to...

    Marine Intake.

Ok a little update on this project. This intake has sat around long enough so today I looked at putting it on my truck. my biggest problem is the throttle body and ac line will get in the way of each other. So I intend to do something cool and fabricate an upper to go on the marine lower and...

Can you prime the oil in a block only setup?

The rings just move up and down in the cylinder. I don't think it would matter what direction you turn the crank as far as "flipping" the rings goes???

Slave: Internal or External? Which is better?

    Extremely Confused, NEED HELP!

I know you said they machined the heads but factory heads will only go .470ish lift before the retainers hit the seals. If they didnt machine them down or put proper springs and retainers, your cam change may have pushed you over the lift limit.

Slave: Internal or External? Which is better?

Not really. Found a good deal on one just happened to be a 95 with an external slave. Makes the clutch a little stiffer but if my slave goes out I don't have to pull the transmission.

Slave: Internal or External? Which is better?

I can't say for sure on the fluid output the way your doing it but it works the other way around. My truck was originally internal 3500 and I swapped in an external slave nv4500 and just ran the line. Apparently the master cylinder end is the same on both style lines because I just got a line...

    Factory engine oil cooler hookups??

Get one from jegs with -AN fittings if you want to use the radiator end. Much cleaner and easier to work with.

    TBI Rev limiter

I think my 95 had one. Seems like it was 5500 or maybe 5400 somewhere in there.

    Info on NV4500

Since this thread is already on the subject nv4500 info, I have the 95 trans with the un-synchronized first. When it comes time for a rebuild could i possibly put the low gear parts from a 96+ trans to synchronize low? I know it's the same ratio so they shouldn't be too much different right?

    Computer speed limit

My 88 would run 120mph by GPS. The speedo only registered like 85 but it kept goin and never shut off. My 98 cuts off at 98 oddly enough

Transmission Grinds When Shifting to Reverse

Usually all gears are synchronized except reverse. When you put it in a forward gear the synchros keep it from grinding and when it's in any gear, the gears themselves are not moving which makes shifting to reverse smooth. Now this is all assuming your sitting still. Did i Make sense??
