Truck runs fantastic, then multiple misfire the next day?

I do think they should be closer to 60psi, a leaky injector can cause misfires too. Do a bleed down test, before replacing the cap. Bleed down will show if you have an injector that’s leaking. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Truck runs fantastic, then multiple misfire the next day?

I had the same random misfire issues at one point with my 305 too. I had done a tuneup a few months before, and it started randomly missing. Mine was misfiring in the cap, they are notorious for doing this, even some new caps. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Help needed with Water Leak

I have the same issues on a 94 and a 98. One has minor rust along the top edge of the windshield, just enough to let a little water get in. The other needs new gaskets around the door. If you can, sit inside and have someone cascade water from the roof and look around. It could come in anywhere...

No Start -- Fuel Pressure? Oil Pressure?

Have you checked the injectors? Or the fuel pressure regulator? If it's bleeding down I would question if you have a leaky fuel injector or a bad pressure regulator. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Replacing lock cylinders 1993 Silverado

You have to remove the outer door handle. To get the lock cylinder out, there is a tab built into the back side of the handle you have to break. You might as well get a new set of handles to put the new locks in, once the tab is broken off it's not going to hold in place.

Engine Probs. What's This Sound Like? (video)

I went thru a similar misfire issue, mine sounded about the same-I thought it was done. After doing a compression test, checking all the plugs, and checking to see if I had a leaky fuel injector I learned that I had a bad distributor cap. Have you changed the cap & rotor recently? These are...

What to expect from oil pressure movement...

I have a 98 with the 5.0 in it. My oil pressure has varied as you described when cold and after warmed up as well as at idle vs. driving. I've got 168K on the motor, and the pressure has been in same ranges from the day I bought it with about 60K on it. I think you are just paying more attention...

    88-94 Mirrors on a 1998 Sierra?

I have a 98, had those small mirrors on it, which are useless if you trailer and actually use your mirrors correctly. I swapped to the old style, same as my 87 had, and still cannot understand why they went with such a small low useless mirror later on....

SES flashing / multiple misfires cyl 8 & 4/ got spider at junkyard.

The cap & rotor on mine looked about the same. I replaced both. It ran rough when I first started it (rpm's varied a lot), I let it idle for about 20min, then it evened out, I drove it around. It's been running great since. If you've had it apart like you say, a vacuum leak may also be making it...

SES flashing / multiple misfires cyl 8 & 4/ got spider at junkyard.

There was some corrosion on the contacts on the cap and the rotor, very little in fact, but it was enough to cause it to miss. I tested the injectors by checking fuel pressure and did a compression test, I followed www.troubleshootmyvehicle.com. Everything checked out, but the truck kept giving...

SES flashing / multiple misfires cyl 8 & 4/ got spider at junkyard.

I went through this missfire and flashing Ck Engine Light recently too. My issues were all related to a faulty distributor cap, which is very common with these trucks. Good luck
