Just recently picked up my 93 Silverado as a project truck. Previous owner lost the keys to the door. I picked up new lock cylinders with keys, just need to know what it's gonna take to replace these things. Local locksmith wouldn't do it, told me to take it to a body shop. Lol yeah right. Tried finding a decent DIY but just came up with the actual lock replacement.

Thanks in advance!

You have to remove the outer door handle. To get the lock cylinder out, there is a tab built into the back side of the handle you have to break. You might as well get a new set of handles to put the new locks in, once the tab is broken off it's not going to hold in place.
