Stop making me fall in love with this truck more damnit!

It's absolutely gorgeous! I'm not sure how I feel about not having the trim pieces along the side; I think the 2500HD would've looked amazing in place of the GMC2500 badge.

Still pretty amazing though

I think my biggest problem with the trim, as the truck progressed, is that it was taking away from the cleanliness. It was 18 years old, and was showing it. It had some big dings in it, and the chrome was almost a yellow color. I thought about putting the badges right where you're talking, but the trim was too beat up looking. Only two things about the truck bother me right now. One is that the rear bumper is bent. I have a new one, but just haven't gotten around to replacing it. The other is that the fender flares are actually a different color than the rest of the gold on the truck. You can tell if you look at the pictures after the cut and buff. Maybe I'm just being too picky, but I'm sure I'll eventually do something about it. Now if I could just get my **** together, and detail the inside, maybe I'll start to be happy with it. Ha ha

Wow, really nice truck! Mine was a Utah truck too, but it's nowhere near as clean as yours.
They're hard to find out here, without being covered in cancer, that's for sure. But lucky for me, the original owner mostly garaged it, and put an average of 6k on it a year. It's only got 104k on it right now. And the kid I bought it from had only owned it for 3 months, and had no clue what he had.

I haven't read your thread in a while, but just found it again and realized you're in Utah haha. Are you in Davis or Weber county?

Pickup is looking great! Makes me wish I would have bit the bullet and went for the big block K2500 instead of failing in a search for a clean SBC equipped version.

Yeah, I'm in weber County. But like everyone I'm always in Davis County too. Just went up Farmington canyon the other night. That's why the truck is so clean today. Ha ha

I honestly haven't found very many big blocks out here. Even at our GMC store, they rarely come in. I wasn't planning on buying this truck, but the price was a steal, and I'm glad I jumped on it. I love the big block. Only thing I would change is the smooth ass cam. The small blocks definitely sound better because of this IMO.

I've debated the tow mirrors, but I haven't decided. I don't tow with it enough to justify them.

If I were to put tow mirrors on my own truck, they would be the flip-out extendable "Dodge style" mirrors. It'll still look close to factory and aesthetically pleasing, but I'll have some function when I need it.
