Transmission guy: YOU WILL USE ONLY THE FLUIDS THAT THE SUPREME OVERLORDS AT GM INTENDED!!!!!!

Also transmission guy: I rebuilt your trans, drilled out some of the stuff that GM got wrong, installed some aftermarket parts, and some other manufacturer parts, to also fix other things GM got wrong. Its gold now.

Sorry, just had to. Was over building my exhaust, distracting myself with my own stupidity, and that came to mind.

I've never heard of people running hydraulic fluid other than ATF in automatics, but I suppose it happens in cases where someone is already buying it in bulk.

I worked on garbage trucks, they all leaked all the fluids. They were all the same trucks that used all the same (different) fluids. We had barrels of everything in stock all the time.

One of the “senior techs” put hydraulic fluid in every hole he could reach quoting “it’s the same stuff, they just change the color to charge you more”.

Lemi Shine is also great for use in wet tumblers to clean dirty brass cases. Makes them look spit-shine new!

This was my general approach...Did a lot of reading to get the 'lay of the land' prior to joining/posting.
