Shifter installed. I forgot to take one after we finished, but it's installed and working.

It's a B&M Pro Ratchet shifter. You basically bump it forwards to go up a gear and backwards to go down, which is the exact opposite of what it should it be in my opinion, but it works well. You can't go more than 1 gear in either direction, so it's kind of like a sequential shifter. It keeps you from throwing it in reverse at 100 mph with full throttle.

Now I need to figure out the posi situation and then we can hit the track.

Ohhhhhh.......I like bro!!! Thats pretty sexy. I'm shopping for a shifter in my build also. I've been considering the Motion Raceworks shifter with an air silenoid, BUT THAT PRICE IS BRUTAL !!! I've got the luxury of the Holley EFI system controlling my shifts via air, but all that luxury costs!!! Did you buy the B&M new? Who did you aquire it from? Sorry for the 20 questions, just up in the air on the subject! Thanks in advance!!!

Got it new from Summit. The cable that comes with it is too short for where we wanted to mount it (would have kinked the cable), but luckily O'Reilly had the longer cable in stock. So that was another $100.

I looked at the one from Motion and the reviews said it worked great with CO2, but not that great by hand (one guy said it went from 1-3 every time unless he smacked it very hard).

Kid was driving home last night and the ujoint broke. It's always had a bit of a vibration around 60mph, but we ignored it. Anyways, hooked a tow strap on it and got it home.

Today, he fixed it all by himself. Proud dad here.

He says it's smoother running now, I bet it is. I need to see if it needs shimming for the lowering shackle we put on.

Parade lap at Circuit of the Americas.

I ordered a new axle from Quick Performance for his Christmas present. Just waiting on to be delivered and we might actually get some times with it finally.

Just waiting on the chunk now. QP seems to ship 2-3 weeks between parts. We got the brakes, then a few weeks later we got the housing and axles, so any day now they should be shipping the gears.

After the 4th time of trying to get the diff in the housing I realized that the studs weren't straight. Pulled the housing out and after some careful adjustment with a hammer, we finally got it close enough. I'm getting old and out of shape, messing around with the diff has worn me out. That's enough for today.

Definitely going to have to notch it. It's touching the bumpstops in the rear. I think the front needs to drop 6" now. What's the easiest notch to install that doesn't require taking the bed off?
