    Weird shifting issue - 92 C1500 automatic

I hope someone can shed some light on this for me. The truck in question is a '92 GMC C1500 5.7L with an automatic trans (I don't know which one, or if there is more than one option either, sorry). I have a hunch this is a reman transmission but have no paperwork to prove it as well. Either...

    Suburban alignment question

As a tech, I hate seeing 2 different shops tell 2 different stories about the same alignment/suspension parts. First things first, your camber is not terrible, and with rotations at every oil change will most likely not cause any real wear to those tires. I believe the manufacturer specs are -.5...

    Tire size help?

Alright guys. I've been searching for answers to my tire questions for a good while. Extensively in the last week and I've found nothing I can work with yet. I'm currently running 33x12.50 on 15x10s with a 1.5" wheel spacer and (duh..) it rubs HARD on the fenders. Only running spacers because I...

    Post your lifted 2wd's!

I've got a super 10 on my truck. It's not stupid loud, but you can damn sure hear me coming! Sounds really good too, has a nice, deep tone to it. Here's my '92 with a 4" spindle and 2" drop shackles in some pictures, stock rear in others (how it sits now). And I'm not sure if it's the...

    Sean's 92 Sierra

Last sunday was very productive for me for sure. Turned 6 flat rate hours, and got the new steering box, new pitman arm and warranty idler arm #5 all installed! Death wobble is gone, but she's still got a little shake to her. I blame the control arm bushings and stupid amount of stance :)...

I'm just trying to go up 2" with the coils... Looks like I may be playing guinea pig for this lol or I'll get new stock coils and a 1.5" spacer. I've got time to research and think about my options, gotta replace the steering gearbox first to cure my death wobble

I just looked into canucks website and it specifies the arms for coil lifts 3" and higher. Are they really that needed? How far out would the alignment be without them? Guessing just camber would be effected?

Thanks man. I'm with you on the look, but I can't turn. 5.5 lanes to do a u-turn, 3 point turns to reverse into a parking spot, and I don't even go in tight parking lots lol I'm not really one for a body lift. I work in a shop and have access to the lifts on m day off for personal use so...

And the list grows lol. I refuse to sacrifice my stance so this truck will keep going up until that tire set up clears!

Found some rough country springs on Rocky mountain there. Thank you! So I'll need those and extended brake hoses, because I already have a 4" spindle on the truck

Update time. Factory height shackles are in. My 4th idler arm in 10 months is in. Tightened up the steering gearbox (too much, gotta go loosen a tick). Found 3 of my 4 shocks are blown. Eccentric bolts on upper control arms are seized, as well as the bushings being shot. Tires still don't clear...

I don't have the ones for the very corner at the fenders, which would help a little I'd imagine, but there just aren't the holes in the header panel to bolt the lower filler to. Maybe my truck is a weird one and most have it?

    Sean's 92 Sierra

Here she is with the 90% properly fitted '96 front clip, and my new '96 Bandit 600. And just to clarify, this grille swap is not direct bolt in. There are no holes in my header panel for the lower fill piece under the grille to bolt to the truck. It's pretty much wedged in there. It ain't...

    Sean's 92 Sierra

These were the day I brought this truck home. It sure has come a long way since being rescued from that car lot! Nowhere near done yet
