I saw your comment and checked my rpos (I have a pic in my phone) and I have AUO, and then remembered I had a fob that came with the truck I thought was for the gm Goodwrench alarm I removed. But a few batteries I borrowed from other remotes, some foil for the missing contact and I was able to test it and it works. Thanks.

Hey everyone I recently picked up an ex FBI 93 k2500 suburban. It had a bad motor so I replaced it. After everything was back together and running well, I started plugging everything back in that the previous owner unplugged. Everything works great except the 4wd. I can't figure out where two wires go. They come out of the transfer case harness and they reach all the way to the front diff or up by the tbi unit. I looked and the actuator is plugged in.. please help!

Hi all. Have a 96 gmc k2500. Bought a new ac/heater panel and the blower motor control socket (8-pin). Old ones were fried since PO.
Having trouble identifying the correct order for the wires in the socket, some are cut and melt beyond recognition.

My best guess is as follows

A blue ???
B tan
C yellow
D green
E empty ???
F empty ???
G brown ???
H orange

Could someone verify this ?

Thanks, Jonas

Dumb question as I am new to these trucks, but with the park lights on, when I flick my turn signal, is the park meant to dim and brighten alternately with the corner light flicking on and off?

When the parks are off the corner and park both flash on and off together...

Yes, that is the correct operation. You're good!

Thanks! I was worried it was an electrical error, it seemed so random!

Edit:
Also, if i leave the turn signal on, and flick the park lights on, the turn signals speed up and repeat about twice as fast as when the parks are off, is that correct?

I am still learning, It took me a whole day to realise why my interior light was staying on the day after I had gotten the truck as I had turned the dimmer right up haha :33:

Another random dumb question (still learning about these trucks, maybe i should find a owners manual?):

When you flick the 'mist' for the wipers, how many times should the wipers wipe?

Cheers

Hey there, i have a question? i recently put a new exhaust systeam on my 1998 chevy k1500 5.0 vortec. when i had to weld the one peace in i put the ground on the torshen bar cross member, when i when to weld it made a spark, i then proceeded to move the ground to the end of the exhaust, i get eveything done and i went to start it up and it dident run, and noticed when i hit the break my head lights ( light bar ) come,s on but the break lights dont, Also caused the fule pump to have weak power leading to low presser. i have checked the grounds at the far back and the one nere the fule pump and it seems to be fine, both ground wire were black. not sure if thats good or bad being a 1998? also is there any other grounds i should check? i currently have the box off and havent come accross any more grounds.? if anyone has any idea that would be greatly appreciated

I don't think there really is a set number, they'll wipe until you let off the button. The usual way I use the "mist" setting is holding it for 2-3 seconds, long enough for the washers to spray a little. Once you let off they'll wipe 2-3 extra times and shut off.

Yeah I just gave it another try and it operated exactly as you described. I have had it twice while driving where i have gone to single wipe the screen and it has wiped about 6 times and then stopped mid wipe.

My washer/squirter doesn't work though, has water but I can't hear the motor so thats another issue all together haha
