A little update: Friday after work I started sanding down the epoxy, by 8.30pm I gave up and went home, had been up and working since 5.00am... Saturday I picked up where I left off and by 9.30pm it was primered and ready for paint. Sunday the grille got painted and while I was at it I also painted the wiper arms that looked like ****. I'm gonna paint the rearview mirrors and the cowl vent thingy too, they look a bit worn now...

"Some" sanding required.

Freshly painted grille (it's not staying black). I didn't have any matching blue but wanted to see if painting it myself was an option.

Finally painted the wiper arms too, just need new blades now.

Missing pic from last weekend, a pic of the 4x4-buttons with the blue LED's, the indicator light for chosen setting also light up blue when the truck is running.
The pink thing in the storage hole is the AirBag switch, I haven't glued it back together again but all blue LED's are in place and it's been tested and everything works.
Both were a bit of a PITA to do but it looks awesome!! :)

If anyone is wondering, the 4x4-button requires 5 single LED's and the AirBag-switch 3 single LED's. (Atleast mine does)

Can I just spraypaint this without ruining anything? The not-so-black is shining throu the grille and looks like crap...

This weekend was all about finishing and putting things back together again, which was done, unfortunatly I have now run out of things to do and need to start ordering things from the US.
Well, I do have one last thing I need to take care of, truck needs an alignment badly! The wheels at least looks and feels fine, but steering wheel is of by 90°. Once that is done I guess I'll just take it home and... i don't know... drive it?

Freshly painted (sorry for the blurry pic...)

Polished the headlight before putting it back together again: Before (left) vs After (right)

Installed the painted grille...

... and hated the way it looked! Blue truck + black grille + chrome bumper = :puke:
Good thing we have rubber paint here too (aka plasti-dip)! It's not awful with the black but I can't wait to get a smoothie bumper and paint it and the grille blue! Oh, and the hood too. And new headlights + corners...

Also painted the rear bumper with the same stuff. Can't wait to get a roll pan!

There is one other thing I could do, paint the wheels with that plasti-dip stuff too...

First up from the US is probably:
Roll Pan
Smoothie bumper + Valance
Headlights + Taillights
Door handles
Wheels + Tires

adding up to sh!tloads of $$$....

It's been awhile, not much has happen...

* End of last year I was waiting for an alignment, got an appointment for mid January, worring I might ruin my brand new tires I left it in the garage and kept driving the Magnum.
* The day before Christmas Eve my grandpa passed away so Christmas kinda sucked this year...
* Finally got to the alignment shop, turned out to be near perfect. Truck needs a new steering box.
* Took it home and drove it.
* Fixed the keyless entry.
* Got new wiperblades.
* Woke up Saturday morning a week after I took it home, looked out at the parking lot and it was gone, truck got stolen.
* Reported it stolen, the Police found it less the 20 hours after it was stolen.
* Had it towed to a shop to get it fixed, both door handles + looks and ignition is busted. Glad I got insurance, everything gets fixed and the insurance company picks up the bill.
* Buried my grandpa this friday
* Got my Magnum out of the garage so I have something to drive. The truck has been at the shop for a week, life don't work without a vehicle.
* Went by the shop yesterday to see the damage myself...

What a great start to the new year... very depressing.

It really ****** me of that the guy who stole it, drove it 10 minutes to the next town because the trains stopped going and he was too cheap to pay $30 bucks for a cab! Because of his lazy cheap ass I'm left without a snow worthy vehicle now that we got 8 inches of snow dumped on us. The shop has so much to do because of the snow so it'll probably take a month 'til I get my truck back.
How hard is it to respect other people's property? Seriously, get a job and buy your own car/truck... everyone else has to!

Since the truck has been standing outside in the rain, snow, more rain and snow the truck is frozen shut. From what I could see thru the window the interior looks okay, he went thru the truck and I think he took my aux cable (worth $2) and maybe the airbag control that was disconnected (worth $?) but left my neon/reflex/safety winter jacket (worth $200) so obviously the guy is an idiot... I don't know what else he may have stolen/ruined since I couldn't get inside.

So once I get it back, first on the to do list is kill switch and anti-theft system, this truck won't be going anywhere I don't want it to go.

Man that sucks. A kill switch is a good idea though

What LED did you end up using for the mirror switch?

Yeah, it really does... :( I think so too, I'm gonna try and find a swich with a key rather than a regular one to make it even better.

What LED did you end up using for the mirror switch?

I ended up not putting one in the mirror switch, the rest of the buttons have neo wedge 3 and 4mm, but the mirror swich don't have any bulbs.
