Needing some guidance. I`m picking up amp wiring kit tomorrow morning, and probably getting new 6.5 speakers for front. Would it be best to buy new speaker wire as well for the truck? What gauge is the speaker wire?

I don't think new speaker wire will make any difference especially if it's coming straight from the deck. However the common sizes are 12-16 gauge. So if you'd like to have new wire for peace of mind I'd just grab a roll of 14-16 gauge.

I'd replace the speaker wire. It is 17 years old. At least that's what I did in my '95 when I did my new stereo. I'd grab some Dynamat too.

Got it all put together. Sounds decent. Not a thumping bass, but a sound that makes it sounds `full`. The old stereo lacked depth, and this fills that gap. Pics tomorrow. Ran wire along top of rad shroud, drilled hole in firewall where a little dimple was. Just below brake master cylinder. Inside it is near the door buzzer/fuse block. Amp is probably going under passenger seat. All apart right now.

The ground is not attached to seat bolt. I am going to be putting it on seat frame once it is installed again. Seat bolts put in temporary to keep the A/C off when its -30 C..

I have my magnaflow dumped right now, but when I get exhaust tailpipes put in I'm going 2-1/4 true dual with spin tech. Have no cats so probably going with the spintech 9000. What series would be about the same loudness as xr-1 borla? I want something about same loudness as my old truck, just I know it will sound different.

Here's the headlights after restoration. One of the park lights are more yellow appearing bulbs because the bulbs are starting to peel the amber coating off.

Here's paint I used on my grille surround. Might do a little something on saw blades to appear atleast not ugly.

Light bulbs are stock bulbs out of Anzo headlights. (On my old truck I replaced bulbs in my Anzo headlights so these were laying in garage. Also, I was thinking either paint the morrors on truck black (to match the paint, instead of plastic look) or doing mirrors in the same color as I just shown.

For sure one or other though. I also want to get the 2" spacers for rear to match front, then OEM fender flares.

I know I just put my stereo in, but a guy at work has 6.5" speakers for front for me, 400W 4 channel ken wood, and a 1200W 12" sub I will be getting from him. He used power from one channel and ground from another channel. I have box already for it from in the truck now.
