Just go to the pull a part an grab a shaft with the bolt. Probably won't even be $10...

Thats my go-to plan as of now. Only problem is I now work till 5, and the scrap yard closes at 5. So that plan will have to wait till saturday. If I order a new shaft,I might be able to punch it out friday...

My truck has 294,000

If the bolt fell out then that's what did it. The pinch part opened up an allowed it to slip which wore out the splines. That's not a normal wear area so this is not mileage related. I'm sure yours is fine....

A lot of people swap their steering shaft out for a jeeo shaft which has a different kind of joint on it. Also, and piece on the front suspension could be worn, idler arm, pitman arm, tie rods ect.

Jer bear in mind the Jeep shaft only works on trucks between 88-95...sometime in 95 they went to a steering set up will not allow the jeep shaft to work.
