I looked up some videos. I'm torn between the Flowmaster 40s and the Spintech 3000 or 6000. The 40's aren't poppy. Neither are the 3000 or the 6000. But I can get the Flowmasters locally, and for about 200$ cheaper BEFORE shipping and I like the sound. I'd get the Stainless Steel spintechs because aluminized doesn't last one winter up here. The Spintechs I like the sound MORE and they have less cab drone (which is really nice), so now I'm kind of torn.

$200 less for the flowmaster? Stainless steel spintech 3000 is about $175. I looked at aluminized because in Texas we don't have much of a rust issue. But $175 is a ton for a muffler. If you like everything about the Spintechs except for the price, pay for what you really want the first time. It will cost a lot more to buy the flow 40 then decide you don't like it then pay the $175 for a spintech :imo:

It's 200$ less for the Flowmaster because I'd be getting two single-in single-out mufflers. So it would be 200$ for the Flows (before paint, since that would be the answer to the rust issue. We don't use MUCH salt up here anymore, but we use enough to cause rust issues.)

So either I spend 200$ on Flow masters and another probably 100$ to get them powdercoated or I spend 200$ on Spintechs, get them powdercoated or I go with Stainless Steel Spintechs and don't get them painted. (400$ BEFORE shipping, what does a muffler weigh?)

Thats definitely a concern. I don't want to have to replace my mufflers in a year unless I'm switching to Spintechs because I went the cheap route with the Flows.

Paint them with hi temp paint.

This actually sounds like a pretty good solution.
