I can see that, but the reason I say that is usually when I see a truck that is in the stock class you just see a shot of the outside of the truck. I guess it would depend on how in depth you wanted to go.

I think there are enough people to make the cleanest truck come out as the victor. You for example can look at a really nice lowered truck and ****** lift job and know the lowered truck has been done much nicer.

What if we did this? A stock TOTM and modified TOTM, if your suspension is +-4 inches and/or you have more than $350 in audio than you fall in the Modified category  Obviously if you prefer lifted trucks you'll tend to vote in that direction but I feel that we should as a whole be able to break the truck down to what took the most work and creativity.

Yeah that's not a bad idea at all.

Alright, so what I'm getting right now is a Stock TOTM and a Modified TOTM. Anybody have some input as far as 6 months vs. 12 month waiting period? I think I'm leaning towards 12 months.

Oh, and 1990GMCSierra, there are actually more entries than I was expecting for the first month, but yeah, it definitely has room to grow. Thanks for the input everyone.

i would do a six month period and if it seems like it is repeating too much then go to the 12 month. as far as categories, i say go with lifted, lowered, and everything else. i feel that most the trucks on here fall into the lifted or lowered range and the rest are closer to stock.

also, i think it might be cool to pick one of these categories for the month and rotate through that way people see all different trucks opposed to a bunch of lifted or lowered trucks. that would also help with the waiting period to because in certain months they can't be picked cause it is not their category.

thats a good idea I think. I saw a club that used to do each month with a different theme. Maybe in the snow, or the back end, the themes allowed different vehicles to compete in different ways. Lets face it, a guy who wheels the crap out of his truck is blow everyone away if the theme is flexin, and someone who has a sexy as hell paint job would beat the off road guy if the theme is paint. It adds diversity, and lets all trucks compete against eachother on the same playing field.

I think we should require certain pics to enter. Say 1 pic each of:

a) Exterior
b) Interior
c) Under Hood

This would help in figuring out stock/modified

Thoughts?

Yeah, there is allot of differences between rides.. Some are all about the performance, some are static drops, some are custom bagged, some are a basic lift, and yet some are all out lifted, and even a few are just all out custom in each field.:hmm: So i kinda like the theme idea... Best motor. Best paint. Best suspension dropped. Best suspension lifted. Best stereo. Best interior. and so on.. Doing it that way there is no need in a 6 or 12 month deal.. And someone with more than one of the options can compete in each class they fit into, which would be fair to them. In my opinion. Wouldnt it be cool if you won best motor this month and a few months later you won best paint? You cant win best motor again till next year, and you may or even may not then anyways... It would be like a year long car show. And at the end of the year all the winners can be put into a kick ass GMT400 calender, put the runners up/competitors in small pics along the bottom of the months.:rocking:
